Light and Shadow fall before me tendering choices obscured by mist-like veils of indecision. If only there had been clearer indications, viable alternatives, when my preferences were finally proffered. In my idiocy, I justify my pronouncements with flavorings of ignorance, inexperience, inexactitude, but, all the while, I know it is nothing more than the enemy Ego that governs the trek I have made. I would that it were not so; that rather, it had been my heart, merged in a state of unity with what little wisdom I possessed, which carried me through this life, or the next. I have only my regrets to console me and the silent promise: "I will do better, next time..." |
